I wasn't sure where to post this, but ... in response to the query for for information about American 20^th century design, here are some great resources on CANADIAN 20^th century design – yes, we have our own distinct and rich design heritage north of the 49^th!!

The Canadian Design Resource website http://www.canadiandesignresource.ca/officialgallery/

A fun site with lots of fascinating entries in various categories, but they are not organized by decade. Appears to be no background information about the site itself. Some entries have short or no descriptions but several comments with lots of background info. Put these few examples in the search box as I am sure you will recognize at least some of them:

Also look up Seetusee Glassware on the CDR website. I keep looking for one of these in the thrift stores, no luck so far.
