I think 1 and 2 are sensational glazes, these are first trials & to achieve this quality at the first attempt is unbelievable!

Anita bought these glazes from Cobridge when they closed down and they have been dormant ever since, until now that is.
Doesn't anyone else find this exciting??
Anita, help me out here!

I'm excited but I don't really know much about glazes. What does one buy - the recipe?

no! one buys a drum of glaze,it may be a mix of chemical, metal oxide...well loads of things, potters have experimented with various compounds for thousands of years

Does it ever go off? How long can you keep a drum of glaze? Why can't someone buy the recipe? Can't it be copied?

Glaze is a very complex mix,or the great ones are,it's not just colour.

I would much rather hear it described? Maybe its the wrong thread, but it would be educational for people like me.

And you didn't answer my questions

I like the shape of number two the best. But the glaze on one and two are equally delightful.

I'm starting to consider taking a pottery course. It might be fun.
