Dartington Pottery
Dartington Pottery is one of the unsung heros of the 20th century British ceramics world,With pottery giants such as Janice Tchalenko,Petra Tilly and Alan White, all chosing to work at Dartington, there is little wonder that the output was stunningly good.
Dartington closed in April 2006 when it merged with Grayshott pottery.

Re: Dartington Pottery
I have to say I just LOVE this pottery! It is so beautiful! Is that the only mark that they have used? Also are all their pieces marked?

Re: Dartington Pottery
Hi Heather,
Yes that's the only mark for Dartington, the throwers and decorators will sometimes have put their own stamp on a pot too and if you are very lucky (or wealthy) you can get a piece signed by the designer.
Dan
ps, glad you like them.

Dartington closed recently and work has been transfered to Grayshott pottery.

I was talking to Petra Tilly last weekend, she told me she was very busy with commission work from Grayshott so it looks like the phoenix is rising from the ashes, hopefully we will be able to buy some new pieces in the Dartington glazes very soon.
