I think this is a 1950s/60s piece - perhaps a Robert Jefferson design (?) - Dan, can you confirm anything at all about this?

Spot on Pip.
It was designed by Robert Jefferson in 1964 and is part of the hand-thrown Bokhara range.
Yours is a 675 vase that was made in 2 sizes, 6 inch and 8 inch decorated in Sapphire blue and black.

What's the whole piece look like please? I would never have thought of that as Aegean (I assume it is marked to the back, or do you just know? )

One of the best pieces in my collection,I would think that I own more than 300 Poole pots,I intend to sell some this summer so i'll get them all out on the lawn and take a pic.
