French Horse

Can anyone help date this racehorse , I think the metal is spelter, it is 7" x 7" I am assuming it is french and it must have won a big race at one time the style looks very early

YEs it could be , what does Le vainquer mean , ? is La gagnant = the winner

the winner is le vainquer as in a race gagnante is also a winner as in a lottery think of vanquish ---- win
