Bitossi (Italy)
Italian Bitossi pieces - starting off with some 'Rimini Blu' vases, bowls and pots - all from the 1950s/60s/70s era. This range was designed by Aldo Londi in the 1950s with the colour combination of blue and turquoise glazes said to have been inspired by the mediterranean sea. Various base marks (some shown) - the current modern production has the stamped 'Bitossi Flavia Montelupe' mark (no modern pieces shown here).

Sorry Maarten but I've got my doubts about this too - can we see a base shot please?

Striped vase - true or false?
Hello
Just wanted to throw this in to get your views whether this is the original article or a copy of a Bitossi vase. The impressed designed is very well defined and the overall quality of the vase is very good indeed. There are no markings whatsoever on the base. The vase is 27cm high.

Line Mondrian, originally made in 1959, remade in 2004 in 199 pieces limited edition.
