coffee table - one of my bargain buys today. ID?

Hi all,
bought two things today and wonder if anyone can identify the maker of either - a 1950s (?)coffee table, and a streaky drippy colourful glazed pot - prob 1930s, someone like Shelley? (i'll put this in the pottery id thread) any ideas for either would be most welcome.

Quite similar to a few G-Plan designs, but I wouldn't like to make any definite guesses.

i wondered about G Plan. The thickness and quality of the wood is really quite good, so i don't think it's just one of the many bits of rubbish churned out in the 50s. i'll surf for some gplan images. thanks nic
