The manufacturer is Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik - no idea on designer, but a bit of Googling might yield something.
Edit: The little voices at the back of my mind are telling me that Arne Hovmand-Olsen may be a good place to start for a designer search.

Oh, they're always whispering designer names to me. Much cheaper then reference books, I can tell you.

thanks for the mobelfabrik spent a nice time looking at danish modern no luck so far it takes a long time we still havent got broadband in this village

After looking through a few of my reference books I'm fairly sure that this chair is by Arne Hovmand-Olsen, c.1955.
I can't find an identical one, but I did find one that's very much the same except for the back-rest, firmly attributed to him.

yes the seat is identical just the back and the front legs seem square. Also no cross struts on the legs mine are all perfectly solid despite their age.
