I suppose if you are daft enough to pay £100 for seaside souvenir pottery then you're daft enough to buy fake seaside souvenir pottery

I see one of those fake Troika's recently sold for £500!!!!

It's interesting that Misterphluffy is now saying on his auctions that it's his son (Misterphluffy Jnr) running the eBay account since the nasty people have caused his 'Dad' so much stress he tried to commit suicide. Obviously I don't believe this for a second and would suggest that, if it were true, it's a huge shame he wasn't successful!!!!

Well, given his record for pottery.... (hope that's not too close for slander, but).

I think in this case (what with him being a faking thief) slander is OK Carolyn.

A troika plate /dish or whatever you call it ,sold recently for way under the normal price ,this sadly is due to the uncertainty by collectors as to wether it is fake or not , the trouble these people cause is inexcusable , I even remember someone years ago saying he knew a guy signing John Ditchfield pieces ,, anyway must dash the paint has started dripping off my new picasso

I'm no expert on Troika but it looks all wrong - the pottery, the decoration and that signature. If you read the seller's gumph he's almost telling buyers to make up their own minds about it ....

The seller obviously knows its not right and is trying to distance himself from it by adding the line about making up your own mind!

yes so it would seem. I've checked their feedback though and they're not a serial seller of faked Troika (unlike the other fella mentioned at the top of this thread). If Troika were still in production then it would be a much easier job for these fakes to be removed from sale (via VERO) since they're not I'm not sure what can be done other than highlighting them here.

Thanks for bringing this one to our attention Davee :-)
