Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
is there anyone here who is knowledgable about Jersey Pottery? picked this up today and wondered if it was an early piece as all the other jersey pottery pieces i've seen have been white with hand painted decoration, not this kind of heavier stonewearish which impressed patterns.

We see a lot of Jersey Pottery on our travels - some I like more than others and often quite varied in style. We don't buy it however because of our limited storage space situation. As for information, annoyingly none of my books have anything about them and the only info I can find online I'm sure you've already checked out (link below).
Hopefully now you've put the question out here in the public domain someone will drop in who knows more. I'd be interested to know as well.

i've never seen jersey pottery like this, but here it is. I'm guessing it's for a yacht club somewhere.

probably commissioned by the Yacht club in their choice of glaze colour
