Poole V German
If this doesn't look like German 1970's then I don't know what ,

I love it ,but far too expensive in my book , but obviously influenced by the wg stuff I reckon.

Re: Poole V German
That pot has been discussed at great length on the Poole pottery collectors forum,Tony Morris has been consulted and the outcome was that the seller isn't too worried about sticking to facts,he has tried to sell it on several occasions & has never been successful

Re: Poole V German
Design at Poole was influenced by Robert Jefferson's interest in Scandinavian design much the same as Hornsea design was influenced by John Clappison's visits to that area.
I believe that many of the German factories also were influenced by the wonderful Danish and Swedish designers of the 1950's & 1960's

Bisto - I agree. Usually this is exactly the sort of thing I'd like but there's something about the decoration on this one that makes me feel that the plain back is so much nicer than the front.
Dan, so many designers seem to have been influenced by Scandinavian design at some point - they were just so innovative it's inevitable.
