Base full of glaze and completely untalcable, but i guess this is another 210-18.

The biggest ugliest most fat a-sed pot ever

Why did I buy it? It reminds me of me. But what is it? As best I can make out the numbers are 553-38 and W Germany. The base diameter is 175 mm.

I knew I recognised this form! Here's my 553-38 and still bearing it's original Scheurich paper label which I reckon is pretty conclusive that the one at the top of this thread is Scheurich.

on my pot the bottom section - the green area in the pic has almost parallel sides meeting the base at almost a right angle making it look like an artillery shell. ie the base is almost as wide as the widest part of the pot. I think this is what makes it lack aesthetic appeal. Is that the same as yours? It's quite hard to judge from the pics (especially when yours is so much nicer!)
