Maker unknown, I was told Holmegaard but.......

Post by dabeachiegirls on Mon Oct 19, 2009 8:14 pm

This is a very nice piece of cased glass, I was told it was possibly Holmegaard, but if I can find out who made it for sure, it will settle my curiosity. The Large Ball decanter is more of an orange red, not a bright red. It is about 10 1/4 inch tall

Appreciate any input.

Mary

Not Holmegaard... possibly Swedish, possibly Italian, but not Danish.

Yes, I think you're right, Pip. Thinking on it, I'm sure I've seen either this or something similarly made with a reliable Italian attribution on t'other board.

Yes, I live on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Atlantic in Norfolk Virginia. It's really lovely here. The view is always changing and it awesome to watch mother nature! is a bright 70 decrees today.
