Purple/white flashed vase - Bohemian?

Post by Pip on Wed Sep 09, 2009 11:27 am

This type of glass is way out of my comfort zone - can anyone offer a little info on it? It's a nice quality little thing and I love purple so I do really like it but would like to know, if poss, who might have made it and when. It has a load of age related wear to the base (and dirt inside as you can see from the base pic) - my guess on this would be that it dates from the first quarter of the 20th Century and is Bohemian (Moser - that kinda thing).

Is there anyone who can help me ID this? It's so out of my comfort zone I'm going to need some help.

I originally posted it on the GMB however it got bumped off the page within 5 minutes and hasn't received any replies (seems to be par for the course with the few ID requests I've put up there recently)..

I really would appreciate any input on this one. TIA

You post stuff on here and nobody looks or do you mean on another message board? I endeavour to read and reply to as many messages on this board as I can although unfortunately my new post icon thingy only seems to work sporadically so I tend to miss quite a few.

well to be fair , most stuff gets a look or reply ,it's just me being picky I suppose, I am not on another forum ,but if you know of one that deals in studio stuff I'd like to know , coz I would like to learn a lot more in that direction .

No probs pip, just wondered if there was a studio site somewhere , but that's probably too narrow a field
