Purple/white flashed vase - Bohemian?

Post by Pip on Wed Sep 09, 2009 11:27 am

This type of glass is way out of my comfort zone - can anyone offer a little info on it? It's a nice quality little thing and I love purple so I do really like it but would like to know, if poss, who might have made it and when. It has a load of age related wear to the base (and dirt inside as you can see from the base pic) - my guess on this would be that it dates from the first quarter of the 20th Century and is Bohemian (Moser - that kinda thing).

I posted this item up on the GMB (www.glassmessages.com) at the same time as posting it here. I've just bumped it up again on the GMB in the hope of getting some info. Suggestions so far include Novy Bor glassworks and Borussia as the decor name. Will update this thread as and when new information comes to light - equally should any info turn up here I'll update the GMB.
