Hi,

Pip: We can see the that the word underneath the JG says Pottery but as for the first. At a guess:-
***xion?? Possibly a 6 or 7 letter word??

Bid Ed - I said It looked "quite new" in my post, does that render it unworthy of finding out the maker? My Andrew Matheson pot was brand new last Christmas- direct from his studio.

As you say- buy what you like.

brand new doesn't mean unworthy , why should it ? top potters are making stuff at this minute , what I am saying is, it may not be an established pottery , I don't really know i am not an expert , if I was I would set up on line idi,ng pieces for cash

No it's a rubbish idea - we'd have to start paying him for his work on the forum!

When Ed said it looked new I don't think he meant it in a disparaging way :-)

something ending in 'xion' ... hmmmm no idea but I'll have a look around.

Hi Gareth,

Thankyou so much...... we have an Amerton Farm about 7 miles up the road, and I do recall a potter there at some point...... Small small world.

Many thanks..... this has been really needling us
