Post by colled-54 on Tue Jun 09, 2009 1:13 pm

On Pip's request some pics I still have stored in photobucket.

My main collection is Matchbox Superfst from 1969 till 1982 .. and all others after that. plus the larger models and Yesteryear models.

Enjoy.

Eddy.

brilliant! Will show this to my hubster later (he's dozing at the moment) - I bet he'll know what a lot of them are.

I had a lot of those in the early 70's but I preferred hot wheels for speed

Paul just took at look at the pictures - went down memory lane talking about Red Barons, pointing out the features on others (the back flips up to reveal the engine sorta thing) - he said he's got a few of those up in his bag of old cars up in the loft.

Paul also reminisced about a car he doesn't have anymore (think his Dad gave it away!) - it was Ed Straker's gold car from UFO. It was a Dinky toy and you pulled it back and it'd speed off. He also had the UFO Shadow patrol vehicle with flicky canon thing and a UFO Interceptor - a spaceship thing with a fireable missile - Dinky again.

He also had Kojak's Buick with figures holding guns and a clip on police light and, get this, Ironside's van - LOL brilliant!!!!

I had literally hundreds of matchbox models when I was a kid,I would wait for a new one to be released so I could buy it but they were all well played with
