Cornish Scene by Terry Stockbridge (oil on canvas)

Post by Pip on Fri Nov 21, 2008 10:24 pm

An impulse purchase bought today at auction. Paul and I love Cornwall so this reminds us of holidays but apart from that it's a nice quirky little oil painting, really vibrant colours - not sure of the date but I'm going to contact the artist (he's based locally) and ask him.

That's fabulous. Does it bring back wonderful memories. I have a
"Scotland" wall that include a variety of pictures picked up in
Scotland and a few of Scotland picked up here. Brings back fabulous
memories every time I see them.

Thank you Carolyn - yes it brings back memories of a holiday we had once (pre-Lottie days) in Port Isaac - just a simple holiday where we did lots of walking along the cliffs and National Trust trails and ate crab salads for lunch and scones and clotted cream with pots of tea in the afternoon.

Sounds absolutely delightful. I have read so many books that have taken
place in Cornwall. I would really love to visit some time.
