I was planning to look around Newark fair tomorrow but it has rained heavily all day so I'll give it a miss

Err, just got back to wales this morning , scorching sun, as opposed to lincoln the wettest place in britain , luckily the newark fair started in brilliant sunshine ,so that was a bonus , I got two gorgeous german pieces at newark , i am very pleased with my haul from both fairs and the antique centres near gainsborough , all in all it was a great few days

Just had a letter from IACF, who now run Newark, saying they will be starting Swinderby fairs themselves (a "symbiotic" relationship rather than "parasitical" they say!). 6th Oct and 1st Dec, I think they must be one day fairs.

seems strange that the same organiser will stage Swinderby fair followed the next day by Newwark fair (10 minutes down the road)

and on the same day as another fair organiser stages Lincoln fair (15 minutes down the other road) :con1:
