Swinderby is a vast fair spread over a huge, disused airfield,it attracts sellers and buyers from all over Europe and lately there have been lots of buyers from Japan.
I would recommend paying the extra to get in on trade day as Swinderby is more of a traders dealing fair than one for the punters.
A word of warning though, you have to accept that there will be a lot of what they class as "home decor" otherwise known as cheap modern crap.

I was told by a trader who stands at Swinderby that the next one (4th of August) will be the last Swinderby ever

I confirmed this on the organiser's website, from October 6th the fair will be held at the Lincolnshire showground which has B road access so if you want to go then I suggest you hire a helicopter!

Oh, excellent - last I heard they didn't get the Showground venue. Something about the owners not wanting the turf trampled and ruined.

Pound signs must have since swayed them.

there are 6 large antiques centers on an old RAF base close to Lincoln too, on Sundays the base is also the venue for a huge carboot sale
