Lou Shabner - artist
Being a big fan of the kitschness that is Tretchikoff and Lynch it stands to reason I'd also adore the work of Lou Shabner. I assumed Shabner to be American since the ladies he painted have a very American 60s & 70s look to them and much of his work seems to turn up in the States however, having tried unsuccessfully to find out more about him I found a site that suggests Shabner was born in Enfield (London) - can anyone refute or confirm this and perhaps add some more info about the life and work of Shabner? I'd be grateful for any input.
