9 sided Japanese yunomi
Anyone recognise this at all has 9 flat sections before flaring out to circular lip. Foot ring with intentional notch. Has a mark to base, Japanese, Chinese or pseudo?? your thoughts appreciated, thanks

Re: 9 sided Japanese yunomi
The wari kodai (cut in the footring) is Japanese and it is either a yunomi or winter teabowl depending on the dimensions. The wax resist decoration is not typical of a style that I am aware of and I don't know what the kanji characters that form the decoration mean.
