Tankard JH mark Empty Tankard JH mark

Could you please help me to id this tankard marked JH. The handle is magnificent, the glaze is a dark treacle colour over a slip decoration. The foot is also very interesting having a number of incised rings rotating around the base.

I know, the letters are a bit too far apart. But he was potting for several decades and in different places.

From the same source as the Tankard marked JH. Three marked pieces and one unmarked but obviously by the same hand. Does it help anyone to recognise this work and mark.

Looked through Yates-Owen and found a John Huggins, Courtyard Pottery, Swindon from 70s-90s, then at Ruardean Garden Pottery,Forest of Dean. But it has him listed as making press moulded plant pots in the latter pottery, so this maybe items from his Swindon days, if it is by him.

Hi Naomi, thanks for your efforts. I don't think it is John Huggins and I think these items are probably too recent to appear in Yates-Owen. I looks forward to an updated version containing work made by the later studio potters of which there are many. My attic floor is groaning under the weight of the many mystery unidentified pots that I have.
