Any ideas? It's about 13cms tall and 8cms in diameter. The design is cut into it (feels quite sharp in some places). I don't really know anything about Italian pottery so I don't even know where to begin to find out anything about it.

Thanks! Emma

I have quite a few little Italian pots with just the generic 'Italy' on the base and I've never been able to pin any of them down to a particular pottery or even region. It would appear that during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s there were little potteries all over Italy churning these types of things out mostly for the burgeoning tourist trade so unfortunately, unless we can find some labelled examples, I don't think we'll ever know.
