ID on reddish brown round pot, multiple marks FJ? Knha??
An excellent pot with multiple marks, but only "6" makes sense. Can anyone figure out the rest. I have done multiple searches for what I thought the signature was with no results. Any and all help always much appreciated.

Looks like Kaihatsu to me, which is a Japanese name I think.

That is a distinct possibility, certainly worth pursuing, which is at least another direction for me to head. Many thanks for your thoughts.

Not much luck so far, but did find Kankyo Gijutsu Kaihatsu K.K., a commercial supplier Vitreous China, Fine Earthenware, and Other Pottery Product Manufacturing. Yes, it is a Japanese name. The search continues.

Although a Japanese name it would not have been made in Japan. Most likely by a Japanese potter living in the US or Canada. The "6 over AS3" are probably glaze codes.

With the thought of the spelling of "Kaihatsu", my thoughts have been just that. Japanese potter in the U.S., since the other notes are not in a Japanese format. Then add the thought that the"6" and the AS3 being glaze notes makes it that much more a very real potential. The pot and the glaze does have an Asian background feel to it. Many thanks for everyones thoughts so far.
