Anyone help with this one? It's around 14cm high, quite heavy and it's got a polished pontil with a very small flat base. The colour is olivey, almost pale amber.

Know what you mean - I've seen Whitefriars in a similar shape, but the one's I've seen have been full of bubbles. It's kind of like the 'Twilight' colour, but a bit more yellowy.

Agreed. That Whitefriars site is *barmy* by the way. Keeps taking me places I don't want to go.

It doesn't look like pattern number 9286 (ribbon vase). I have one and the shape is very different.

You're probably thinking of this one:

Although I don't think it's a variation of this one either.

I try to avoid quoting myself Happy but just for my education, was it the one shown on the Whitefriars discussion forum?

No, I believe that thread was started with frustration and irony in mind. The Whitefriars board has had some technical issues recently that I understand will take a little time to resolve. At the moment clicking on any (and every) image in the catalogues takes you to the page showing that trailed vase instead of the item you are interested in. Very vexing when you are looking for information on other items.

John, were you answering me just then? If so, I know it was a jokey thread - but the last post pic by Bob Leach looked like the subject of this thread? I don't mean the trailed vase.

Although it has a similar rounded rim, the rest of it is the wrong shape (and colour) - to my eye, at least.
