Plastic needle holder.
This is one of my favourites, although kilo for kilo it must be way out in front. This is a needle holder I think;certainly the detachable end has a myriad tiny little holes in. The whole thing is 1 5/8" long. made of plastics although I don't know what sorts but I would like to know if anybody out there has any ideas. I've tested it with Simichrome and it doesn't react so......

Simichrome is very handy stuff apart from the bakelite test. I use it to polish my acrylic watch crystals, along with a bit of 1500 wet/dry paper. The great thing about 1500 paper is that it has two sides, so you smooth with the rough side and then polish with the other (with a dab of simi). It works for me!

Re: Plastic needle holder.
Apparently this pattern is called Proust Divisionism and is used on some Alessi products. Interesting if they called it by that name when they made this little thing..
