Peterborough - Festival of Antiques

I'll be done outside by lunchtime and indoors

I might or might not go this Easter. Really depends on how much is outside.As that is the only real chance of getting a bargain or something interesting in Studio Pottery.
Inside is for looking. Studio is going to be too expensive for me. But the selection of modern glass, Poole, ad Art Pottery is truly excellent. Amazing just to stand and stare.

the last few years I have managed to find 1 bargain each fair  that will pay for my visit and can be resold immediately, so it's a free day out with a chance of finding something to complete a collection

looks like rain from 11am so I'll probably stay at home

what a lovely sunny morning we had as Peterborough! it was like a swamp from overnight rain but heaving with traders and punters

done OK considering I'm selling at the moment. Only brought 4 pieces but sold 2 to cover my entry and diesel so not too bad at all.

the next fair will be held Fri 28th - Sat 29th Sept

I'm looking forward to it, biggest problem is finding quality pieces at the right price. Its good that people go to buy rather than just spend the day 'mooching about' - at least on the Friday.

Perhaps by the time Saturday comes all the best/attractive/bargain items have been sold?

Saturdays are for talking to stallholders about the amazing pieces they sold on Friday

Weather should be dry for the September 28th/29th fair. Lets hope its a busy one for both buyers and sellers.

Great fair, bought some stunners and sold a lot! Very happy to have attended and met so many people.

I too had a good fair, especially considering the number of sellers.

I forgot it was on last weekend

Its the big Festival of Antiques at Peterborough East of England showground this coming Good Friday and Saturday, It should be busy, hope to see lots of you in the Main Arena - the big building at the end next to the cattle sheds.

in fact, all the dealers should post pics so forum members can say hi when they buy

the biggest Peterborough fair ever!! Lots and lots of stuff to look at and the weather was lovely too

yes I bought a bit of Guy Sydenham (surprise surprise) also a Briglin money box to sell on and a couple of pieces of metal wall art to sell on

Very very busy fair, I did extremely well ( for me ) including having a good day on Saturday - the 'moochers' day.
