Apparently it's an armadillo. Another one online if you google "Lisa Larson Porcelain Armadillo For Gustavsberg"

Big Laughter Yes, found that armadillo too (quite optimistic prizing, btw).
But you don't usually see armadillos with horse tail, horse's mane or saddlecloth, so I would stick with horse...

From the earlier list the Mushroom mark = Marianne Preissler as decorator. Some minor scratches to the mirror but I'm not fussy. No damage otherwise.

I've been hoarding it for a while. They are not common, not seen one on ebay but I'm sure you an get one from Sweden if you really wanted one. Finding it undamaged is so nice.

I thought I would share some of my nicer things for Christmas. Gustavsberg (Sweden) - Page 4 910958 Gustavsberg (Sweden) - Page 4 896643

Have a browse through ebay - there is very little Stig and most of the pieces coming up are chipped cracked or restored. If you paid top dollar, enjoy, they will be worth a lot more in a year! BTW - I don't think they are ashtrays, they are more likely to be little hors d'ouvres dishes. Gustavsberg (Sweden) - Page 4 Img_2810

Hard to find (at reasonable prices) - averaging one every 1.5 years! Spectrum one sold on ebay for jaw-dropping price a while back. Kirks has some nice patterns there, as he posted earlier you can't pick and choose - just have to buy them when you see them.

I sold mine on ebay last year at an unreasonable price £113.00 which is odd because I bought it from a well know t.v expert the year before for £30.00

I recently bought these from a well known auction website, they are apparently from Kage's own estate sale. Has anybody seen anything similar before?

Very nice. As far as I can determine, Wilhelm Kage had his own pottery. So if they came from his estate it means he bought them from Gustavsberg rather than made them himself.

Thanks for the info, I've been told that the red "G" pottery mark means they are test pieces do you know if this is true?

Interesting.
These plates have the 'hand' mark, so wouldn't they be by Stig Lindberg ? (Lindberg is the more collectable of the two). And they seem post WW2, after Kage.

I can't find any information on the auction they were bought from and I have searched the Internet for similar dishes with no luck.
Could they be a one off?
