I think they are mid-20thC dancing masks from Sri Lanka. They have a long tradition of using masks in their threatres. Although India / Bali / other Indonesian countries are also possible.

Balinese (Indonesian) circa 1970's-80's, they were originally used as masks in ritual drama of epic battles between gods etc (Bali being a Hindu island in a majority Islamic country) however by the time these would have been made, they were being made for the tourist market. This doesn't diminish their value, interest or decorative appeal IMHO
