Hand made Asian figure, old man sitting figurine. 10cm tall
Fairly sure he is hand sculpted rather than moulded.
Glazing looks a bit like European majolica.
Any ideas on country and age. I couldn’t find similar online.
Not sure if it’s Thai or Tibetan or Burmese.
And is he an old man or something more Buddhist like an old man Buddha.?
Quite an unusual piece and I’d love to know a bit more.

I believe it’s one of the Chinese Shiwan mudmen. Possibly earlier than the modern versions. Or one of the Japanese immortals; there is one that is always represented as a skeletal figure.
