Bought as Hutschenreuther
I have two of these (awaiting photo of the other one) bought separately (each from Germany) but both times attributed to Hutschenreuther. Certainly in the photos the central square looks like it could have a lion in the centre but I'm not 100% as every time I look I see something different could be an animal/lion lying down or could be script style lettering or even at a push numbers being obscured by the glaze. If it was lettering could begin with and 'h' or viewed the other way around end with a 'y'. This is my preferred one of the two having much thicker lightish green lava dripping down than the other which is of more coppery hues and has a 'cleaner' lava flow (Hubbys preference!). No form numbers and 21cms lip to base and exactly the same on the other.
This may give a clearer view of the mark
By the way, it is square with circle mark not rectangle or oval like Jasba.

Re: Bought as Hutschenreuther
I have been looking again at the pictures and the pot itself. Could the signature/mark be Hoy? Anyone?

Re: Bought as Hutschenreuther
It's not Hoy to my opinion. I have blown up the mark and i think i can see a potter at a potterswheel? Or maybe it's too early.....
Re: Bought as Hutschenreuther
Thanks Orpheus, I wouldn't know who that would mean it was by anyway! At first as mentioned above I thought it was a lion lying down a la Hutschenreuther but these are definitely a curio.
