I will give it a go Dan ,but to be honest I am not even sure if the sig is the right way up , it really loos like an pound sign or maybe an L.

Hi,

it's a classic Japanese press moulded bottle form with typical Mingei (folk art) decoration...a lot of western potters have also made bottle vases like this based on the influence of potters like Shoji Hamada among others, but I think this one is very likely to be from Japan.....it's an attractive piece but isn't by Hamada BTW
