Kazuya Ishida from Japan - not on Dan's list.
Very impressed with his work and went back at the end of the day where I found this little vase which he'd just put out for Sunday's show

N - can I be extremely rude and ask what you paid for the IG dog and the Wu? (PM me please!) - are they cheaper than ebay. I'm jealous.

I never saw him there on Friday and I am sure I would have noticed him, as I went around several times. Besides not being on Dan's list he isn't mentioned in the programme so............ was he squatting or was he late arriving?

Maybe someone dropped out or he was offered space on someone else's table as he only had a couple of shelves.

That's a shame as he could possibly have been more interesting than anything I saw there on Friday.

Pat Southwood said he was there for the entire show, but he was sharing a stand and only had a couple of shelves. He's been part of the Oxford Anagama Kiln project so hoping for more exhibitions. I think he was displaying stuff at Winchcombe? Or St Ives? recently
Edited to say, his exhibition was at the Keelings' Whichford Pottery

Hi guys how does this compare to the Craft in Focus show at Wisley? Won't have an opportunity to attend this as we have a fair in Shepton but the Wisley one I was hoping compares ok?

I've not gone to Wisley because, after looking through the exhibitors list on their website it looked more of a craft fair than a ceramics fair. Ok if you like home and garden accessories, fabrics and jewellery amongst your ceramics but Farnham and Oxford Ceramics Fairs are far better for serious collectors. Imo.

The Craft Study Centre is also in Farnham.

As is the Farnham college that trained many brilliant potters. Rupert Spira,Duncan Ross and many more. Long run by Henry Hammond. Now subsumed into the rather grandiloquently named University of the Creative Arts. ( oh the hubris of academe! Laughter

Not many pieces there as it's part of the reception area to their museum but I did get a very nice Jonathan Garrett bowl last time I visited.

West Street Potters, Farnham, usually have their exhibition at the same time as Art In Clay, although I haven't seen any announcements for this year on their Facebook page

Well last time I had to go round a second time just to take photos, and at Hatfield and CAL we didn't get round everywhere before we were chucked out st the end of the day :D
