It's called "Blue Gentian". 1955

Not in brilliant condition but well worth having at least for a little while. I think this is "Cubist" and I might well use it for my breakfast cereal on Sundays. You don't often see these at the car-boot sale

Yes it is an AE Gray pattern from 1929.
They are never in great condition due to the
matt glazes that wear and discolour terribly.

This design 2290 from 1952, is described as:
"Bracken, leaf border, in old gold and green"

I have been trying to identify a Susie Cooper plate and am unable to find pictures of it anywhere. This is making me wonder if it is a fake. I wonder if anyone on this forum can help?

It's not a fake and the impressed number mark, which are can't make out, is the date stamp for when the plate was made. I did have a book many years ago with images and pattern names but I have just checked and I seem to have got rid of it.

Yes, this mark was used 1932-56, covering hundreds of different patterns.
I can't see an image in the SC book of this one unfortunately.
It could take ages to try to match it with a description.

Yes, it's part of what I called the Art Ware range (probably had an Official title) when I used to buy and sell pieces over 35 years ago. They were always plain glazed in different colours, often with impressed/incised decoration. Bowls and vases were the norm and jugs less common.

Sorry it’s a year late and you probably don’t need the info anymore but I found this in one of my Susie cooper books
