I have a little vase with what looks like the same makers mark on the base, dont know who made it tho sorry would be interested if anyone did :)

I think it may be Noreen Ibbott a Scottish potter from Livingstone, West Lothian.

Dantheman .... Thank you for you reply, I am not quite sure how to tell earthenware?
The initials don't look like an NI more an NN or NM I think but I will double check and maybe post a right way up close up!

As a graphic designer it has been bothering me they are upside down ...... it is an I-phone problem all it's photos come onto the mac upside down I've realised!
In future I will put them into I-photo and rotate and follow your advice on just adding a thumbnail link.
