GS? i guess the making assumptions one would jump to Guy Sydenham, but as i know nothing of his work i wouldn't want to make draw that conclusion. Dan will know i'm sure, or Davee

It could be a Cinque Ports, Rye piece, but they normally stamp their pieces with a circular black stamp that says Cinque Ports Rye. I haven't seen one with a monogram, before, unless it's an ealy David Sharpe, Rye, piece.
I'm sure I've seen this sort of thing before, though. It's driving me nuts.

Possibly Iden Pottery, which was set up by Dennis Townsend after leaving Rye.
