If I was starting to collect studio pottery now, Chelsea would be of primary interest. Such colourful and interesting pictorial work. It still comes up regularly on Ebay at reasonable prices.

They are one of those potteries where pieces keep coming up that I have not see the like before. So both of those are your fathers? The plaque feels more the strongest to me but never would have Chelease been my first choice of pottery for either.

Yes, they are both my Dads. The seated lady lost her head in a move unfortunately.

I found this lovely jug, immediately recognisable, and was expecting to see Joyce Morgan's mark but it appears to be JB, Is there a list of painters monograms anywhere yet ?? Apologies for enormous first image
