Re: Bill Fisher
Another one now finished.
These 2 Bulls on are separate different coloured sheets (slightly more different than the colour looks in this pic). These seem to be a more professional print than the others, so possibly later than the other obviously hand printed images? and each is hand signed by Bill (the signature is not a part of the print).
I've put them together as I like the slightly different look the different coloured background gives each one.
This frame is 34 inch x 25 inch.
Probably the most impressive of all the images.

Re: Bill Fisher
these are my favorites so far!
I just got talking to someone who worked with Maggi at Celtic pottery in Newlyn.
Does anyone have questions they would like me to ask him?

Re: Bill Fisher
I think I've solved the mystery of my king print.22 Crawford St. wrote:CF - one thing the three lions always face to the left. Always if it's england. England that is. meaning if you mirror that print it looks better
That would also make his right had his sword arm. I think it's reversed. Is it right or left handed on the king ceramics?

I'm fairly certain it's Bill's version of John Of Gaunt, Duke Of Lancaster (1340 - 1399). 4th Son of Edward III & father of Henry IV (Wikipedia).
But as Crawford say's, it's reversed for some reason.
I've found a very similar print by someone, in reverse (the correct way). Slightly different shield images, but otherwise the same basic layout and imagery.
