His pieces are variable. I think it's just coincidence that so many of his green-blue & grey vertically glazed pieces have been uploaded on this thread. He is experimenting with a mosaic porcelain design which I have some photos of somewhere, but hope to get more photos at Farnham next week.

Well said Naomi - I think his pieces are far from being all the same ... the only reason they appear to be the same is that the green/blue/grey pieces tend to be the smaller pieces and hence more affordable for the general public like me so they get posted on this site lol ... I wont be buying hundreds of his pots in the near future though Dan - unfortunately sigh - I would be bankrupt within a week ... Rolling Eyes

True :) Id love one of his doughnuts but I'd have to take out a second mortgage. I asked him if he'd be making smaller versions of the porcelain ones and he said it would depend on time as they take ages. But it would have to be marble sized to fit my budget.

Just read this description of the process involved in making Peter's latest work, the porcelain pieces -

. Peter Beard has recently embarked upon a new body of work. With a visible link through pattern and form to his well-known and greatly admired wax resist decoration, ‘New Ground’ marks the next stage in his development as a maker. New pieces can take up to 6 months to complete and are extremely challenging to make. Multiple firings and layering create a fired terrain which is then ground back with diamond disks revealing a hidden beauty, each surface being quite unique and deceptively silky-smooth with a marble-like surface.
